Never think of that 1. Even if it was truth I wouldnt like to live forever in newworld with all the rules and judging people 2. I don´t believe in god. 3. If there were a god, it would be beyond any doubt for any human to know who he is, what he wants, aso. Why would a loving god hide and give some vague book like bible that can be interpret so many ways?

same conclusion I came to.... honest people let you examine the goods, try before you buy, dont make you pay upfront without anything more than telling you to IMAGINE what you will get later... con artists on the other hand have nothing of value to offer, so must pretend and must make excuses for their lack of evidence.... why would a real god behave like a con artist rather than an honest man? ---the lord is my shepherd says it all no better symbol for a con artist as we all know a shepherd fools sheep into trust and complacency so he can more easily fleece and slaughter his flock for his own benefit.

Don't worry. They're totally, totally wrong. Just do your research. Research things that you're interested in - whether those are scientific fields, psychology, history, sociology, you name it. The more you learn, the more you'll be blown away by just how incredibly wrong they are about everything.

if only it were that simple, the more research one does the more one realizes that all beliefs are built upon assumptions and rationalities which cannot be verified... if everyone agreed on the "facts" there would likely not be any religions left standing, but what the "facts" are is not always possible to verify or agree upon or even discuss. in many things I prefer honest agnosticism, I dont know and you dont either and if you pretend to it easy to see you are lying....and if you really know, then you should be able to show it in a way that anyone can agree with, which is very difficult to do.

what if and if only seems to be a root cause of much suffering and dissatisfaction

when I experienced a profound re-orientation of time via some sort of mental eppiphany, I suddenly realized that
I am always exactly where I must be because the last moment that brought me here was only 10-43seconds ago and there is absolutely no way I could be anywhere else, ever.... with that realization I came to see that any religion which demands that anyone be other than exactly what they are in any moment is totally delusional and based on nothing more than mythology and the false notion that my life could have been anything but what it was.

it also shows that any god who may exist who demands his children to something he should be wise enough to realise they cannot be, must be insane.... so yes, JWs can be right, but it would mean their god is insane and there is no guarentee that any of his promises will be fulfilled

notice how Moses had to remind Jehovah about his promises to Abraham to avoid being the last man standing

Exodus 32....

and how this apparently imperfect god was made to repent of his evil -- exodus 32:14

so put your trust in an insane god if you wish, but I will just accept what reality dishes out as I have no other choice that is meaningful

the world you know is a like a map that has a flashlight behind it... the part of the map which is illuminated is the part of the world and your imagination you witness.... when you sleep that map is still there but the thing illuminating it is no longer this shared realm but your own internal illumination which might arise from random signals or simply from cascading thoughts... but also to some things sneaking in from the outside world being made part of the dream in progress....

for example... I once dreamed of a huge plate filled with donuts...behind it was a man dress like a chef or baker.

he was laughing uncontrollably for no apparent reason....

when I woke up there was a dog barking in the distance...which had the very same rhythm and almost the same sound as the laughing baker.

our interpretation of what is being activated works quickly and by means of something called fuzzy logic... for example if you see just a tiny part of a stop sign peaking out from a tree ahead of you while driving, you have this knowing of it being a stop sign even though you only see a single fraction of one corner... and it happens almost instantly.

i finally figured out why i'm so socially retarded...it just hit me.. here i was sitting and wondering why i have such a hard time meeting new people, making friends, thinking of relevent things to say, and so on.

it really is painful and scary for me.

i was told who i could talk to, who i couldn't talk to, what i could say, what i couldn't say.

eventually, i believe that if an inactive person refuses to talk to elders, stops all meetings and service and might create any possible problem to the local congregation, that they might be loopholed into showing themselves as having "disassociating" themselves.

it would be an easy way to get rid of deadweights that can cause more harm than good in the congregation.

this could work to their advantage because one of the things that CONviNcED me early on was that they really did not want me as I was, but only after I conformed to [their claimed] bible standards.... it showed me they were not seeking after numbers or money etc... marks of what I assumed to be part of the troof.

many people would not believe that heaven would accept them as they are and that is part of their strength in showing that they are an exclusive club

if michael jackson was on trial for being "wierd" he would be found guilty hands down.

since that is not the issue, on what basis are people accusing him of being a ped?

the prosecution has brought forth their strongest witnesses and have presented their strongest evidence.

I have studied psychology for 15 years now, and I have known some pedophiles and MJ does not seem to fit

any pattern I have ever run into, does that mean he is not a ped, no. but it does seem to me that the evidence favors a scam being perpetrated against him....

it is also possible that MJ is smart enough to know he could get caught and purposefully chose a down and out family with a record of scams just to have an escape... but with such deviousness and cunning... and money, I suspect that dozens of children would be making claims if he really were a pedophile, not just 2 that I have heard about.

there is a geat amount of confusion among early christian trdaition as to when jesus died, some have said about 130 different opinions were held.

the nt doesn't help pin it down as the dating in luke doesn't work.

anyway the tradition that eventually won out was that jesus was baptised about 29/30 and killed 1-3 years later.. on another site someone speculated that it was jewish tradition that indirectly helped establish this timeline.
